MySQL to obecnie najpopularniejsza na świecie relacyjna baza danych rozwijana i popularyzowana w ramach polityki „Open-Source” oraz posiadająca ponad 10 milionów aktywnych instalacji.  DRBD for MySQL to rozwiązanie wysokiej niezawodności, które łączy w sobie bazę MySQL, jądro Linuxa oraz rozwiązanie DRBD (Distributed Replicated Block Device).
